About Denny Hatch
Denny Hatch is a contributing editor of Target Marketing Magazine, serving the direct marketing community. In addition, he founded the newsletter "Who’s Mailing What?" - the only publication that covers the American Direct mail for direct mailers.
In past lives, he’s been a book salesman, an advertising salesman, run book clubs and has been a copy writer for direct mail agency. In 1984, with his wife Peggy, he launched the newsletter That’s Mailing What? out of their home in Stanford, Connecticut. It was based on his massive library of direct mail samples. To create the newsletter, Denny would read 3,000 to 4,000 direct mail packages a month and more than 200 categories: business, consumer, non-profit and catalogs, and presided over a library of over 200,000 direct mail samples. For a fee, subscribers can get copies of any of these mailing packages.
In 1989, he was featured in a front-page article in the Wall Street Journal. He’s been quoted in Time, Newsweek and Forbes, and has appeared on NBC’s Today program. Denny is a frequent speaker at direct marketing seminars and conferences in the US and the Far East. He’s the author of three published novels, Million Dollar Mailings, 2,239 Tested Secrets For Direct Marketing Success, co-authored with Don Jackson, and Method Marketing – How To Make A Fortune By Getting Inside The Heads Of Your Customers, published in March 1999 by Bonus Books.
