About Cameron Johnson
Cameron Johnson got his start in the business world at a very early age. His success began when he started his first business, a printing company, at the tender age of nine. After receiving a computer and printer as a Christmas present from his parents, when he was 9, he began to sell greeting cards, stationary, invitations, and other items to relatives and neighbors.
At the age of 12, he started an e-commerce website selling the popular Beanie Babies toys over the internet. His business grew to become the #2 Beanie Baby retailer on the internet and profited $50,000. His next business was a website offering free email accounts which blocked junk email. The email service grew to have tens of thousands of users. He later sold the business.
At the age of 14, he was one of three finalists from more than 100,000 applications to receive Junior Achievement's "Youth Entrepreneur of the Year" award. By this time, Cameron began receiving worldwide attention for his various businesses.
While in Japan working for FutureKids of Tokyo, he was approached by a bestselling author who asked to ghostwrite his biography in Japan. Months later, 15-Year-Old-CEO was published in Japan, and it became an instant bestseller.
Cameron has given more than 50 speeches worldwide and has been featured in more than 250 newspapers, magazines, and television news programs around the world including Newsweek, BusinessWeek, Time Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Times, CNBC, MSNBC, CBS' The Early Show, and the list continues.
As a freshman in college in 2003, Cameron attended Virginia Tech and was in their Pamplin College of Business. At 20, Cameron left college and once again "entered the business world" with several new successful business ventures.
His recognition and accomplishments go beyond the business world. In 2004, he was approached by the Bush/Cheney Campaign and was nominated as their "Small Business Leader of the Month."
Cameron's only starting his 20's, and in January of 2007 he published his first bestselling book, You Call the Shots. Many would say Cameron has had plenty of success… but he sees it another way — that is simply that his standard is that much higher for the years to come.
